Last Leaf Down is a Swiss alternative and shoegaze band founded in 2003 between Basel and Solothurn. Initially starting with a doom metal style, their sound shifted towards shoegaze in 2007 after the addition of Benjamin Schenk (vocals, guitar). In 2014, they signed with Lifeforce Records and released their debut album "Fake Lights". This was followed by "Bright Wide Colder" in 2017. After a hiatus, they returned in December 2024 with the single "Silence" and released the album "Weight of Silence" in April 2025. The band has performed at festivals such as Wave-Gotik-Treffen and Gloomar Festival.
