Laura-Mary Carter is a British singer and guitarist, known as a member of the duo Blood Red Shoes. In September 2025, she released her debut solo album, "Bye Bye Jackie," under the Jazz Life label. The album features 11 tracks, including "June Gloom" with guest guitarist Lee Kiernan from IDLES. Carter focuses on a more intimate and reflective sound on the album, drawing inspiration from various genres such as Americana and Motown. The album was recorded in Hackney, London, with producers Oscar Robertson and David Bardon. Carter plans to support the album with a tour across the United Kingdom and Europe.
