Lazy Lester, born Leslie Johnson, was an American blues musician known for his contributions to the swamp blues genre. Born in 1933 in Torras, Louisiana, his career began in the 1950s when he played harmonica for Lightnin' Slim. He later recorded his own tracks for Excello Records, including hits like "I'm a Lover Not a Fighter" and "I Hear You Knockin'". Lester was also a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in guitar, bass, and percussion. Throughout his career, he collaborated with artists such as Slim Harpo and Katie Webster.
