Leon Ware was an American singer, songwriter, and producer known for his contributions to soul, funk, and R&B music. Born in Detroit in 1940, he began his career as a songwriter for Motown, penning tracks for artists like The Isley Brothers and The Jackson 5. In 1976, he collaborated with Marvin Gaye on the album "I Want You," which became a significant milestone in his career. His solo albums include "Musical Massage" (1976) and "Rockin' You Eternally" (1981). Ware also worked with artists such as Quincy Jones and Minnie Riperton. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 77.
