Leoniden is a German indie rock band from Kiel, formed in 2014. The original members are Lennart and Felix Eicke, Jakob Amr, Djamin Izadi, and JP Neumann. Their debut album, "Leoniden," was released in 2017 and entered the German charts. Their second album, "Again," released in 2018, reached the top 40, with the single "Kids" becoming particularly popular. Their third album, "Complex Happenings Reduced to a Simple Design," released in 2021, topped the German charts. In 2024, they released "Sophisticated Sad Songs," which reached number 2 in Germany. Their music blends indie rock, pop, and punk with complex rhythms and catchy choruses. The band has received several awards, including the "Prize for Pop Culture" in the "Favorite Band" category in 2021.
