Leslie Howard is an Australian pianist, musicologist, and composer, renowned for his complete recording of Franz Liszt's solo piano works, encompassing over 300 premiere recordings. Born in Melbourne in 1948, Howard studied at Monash University and later in Italy under Guido Agosti. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with prominent orchestras and artists, including the London Symphony Orchestra and Steven Isserlis. In addition to Liszt's works, he has recorded compositions by Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. His contributions to music have been recognized with multiple awards, including six Grand Prix du Disque and an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest recording project by a solo artist.
