Litania is a doom/hindustan psych band from Italy and Serbia, formed in 2024. Their sound is based on drones, heavy doom riffing, and inspired by ancient Hindustani singing and playing, utilizing instruments such as the sitar, dilruba, and harmonium. Their debut album, "Litania," comprises eight tracks that merge the raw power of guitars with the spiritual depth of Indian classical music. Band members hail from groups like Elli De Mon, The Great Northern X, Collars, and The Black Heart Procession. The album was recorded in January 2024 and released on October 10, 2025, under the Heavy Psych Sounds and Subsound Records labels.
