Lorraine Klaasen is a South African singer born in Soweto, daughter of legendary jazz vocalist Thandi Klaasen. She began her career at a young age, accompanying her mother on performances across South Africa and neighboring countries. Later, she moved to Canada, settling in Montreal. Her 2012 album "A Tribute to Miriam Makeba" won the 2013 Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year.
