Lostprophets was a Welsh rock band formed in 1997 in Pontypridd. The band released five studio albums: "The Fake Sound of Progress" (2000), "Start Something" (2004), "Liberation Transmission" (2006), "The Betrayed" (2010), and "Weapons" (2012). Their music blended elements of alternative rock, nu metal, and post-grunge. Notable tracks include "Last Train Home" and "Rooftops". The band received several awards, including the Kerrang! Award for Best British Band in 2006 and 2007. In 2013, the band disbanded following legal issues involving lead vocalist Ian Watkins.
