Louis Jordan was an American saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and bandleader, known as the "King of the Jukebox". He was a pioneer of jump blues, a blend of jazz, blues, and boogie-woogie, and led his band, the Tympany Five. His most notable songs include "Let the Good Times Roll" and "Saturday Night Fish Fry". He collaborated with artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Jordan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
