Mar Malade is a German indie pop project consisting of Alexander Hauer and Michèl Martins Almeida. The band was formed in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when both musicians began experimenting with music together. Their debut album, "MAR Malade," was released in 2021, followed by "Balloon" in 2023 and "Animals Crossing" in 2025. Their music is characterized by a blend of indie pop and electronic elements. The band has collaborated with artists such as Fil Bo Riva, Kat Frankie, and Catt. Mar Malade has performed at festivals like Dockville Festival and Rolling Stone Weekender and embarked on their first headline tour in 2022.
