Mares of Thrace is a Canadian duo from Calgary, Alberta, blending sludge metal, doom metal, and noise rock. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Thérèse Lanz and drummer Casey Rogers. They debuted with "The Moulting" in 2010, followed by "The Pilgrimage" in 2012, which was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize. After a hiatus, they returned with "The Exile" in 2022 and "The Loss" in 2025. The band is known for their intense live performances and has collaborated with bands like KEN mode and Conan.
