Maxine Troglauer is a German bass trombonist born in 1995 in Wiesbaden. She studied classical music in Hanover and earned a master's degree at the Manhattan School of Music in New York in the contemporary performance program. In 2022, she received the Oskar and Vera Ritter Prize. Her debut album, "Hymn," was recorded in June 2024 and released on June 6, 2025, under the Fun in the Church label. The album features collaborations with trumpeter Peter Evans. Troglauer is known for her approach to blending classical music, jazz, and contemporary music, thereby expanding the repertoire for the bass trombone.
