The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is Australia's oldest professional orchestra, founded in 1906. The orchestra regularly performs at Hamer Hall in the Arts Centre Melbourne and is renowned for its interpretations of classical works. In 2025, it released an album featuring Holst's suite "The Planets" and "Earth" by Deborah Cheetham Fraillon. The MSO is known for its collaborations with prominent conductors and soloists and regularly tours internationally.
