Meral Polat is a Dutch actress and singer of Kurdish descent. In 2022, she released her debut album "Ez Kî Me," drawing from her late father's poetry and blending Anatolian folk songs with elements of blues and afrobeat. This was followed in 2025 by "Meydan," inspired by the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (Women, Life, Freedom) philosophy of the Kurdish women's movement. She has collaborated with artists such as Kubilay Kaya, Jungle By Night, and Mehmet Atli.
