Michael Zilber is a Canadian-American saxophonist and composer, born in Vancouver and based in San Francisco. He has released 11 albums as a leader or co-leader, including 2017's "Originals for the Originals," a tribute to saxophone greats like John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter. Zilber has collaborated with musicians such as Dave Liebman, Miroslav Vitous, and Steve Smith. His music spans genres like jazz, jazz-funk, and avant-garde jazz. In addition to performing, he is also an educator at the California Jazz Conservatory.
