Michel Chapuis was a French organist and pedagogue, renowned for his interpretation of Baroque music. Born on January 15, 1930, in Dole, he studied under Édouard Souberbielle and Marcel Dupré. He served as organist in Parisian churches, including Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois and Saint-Séverin. Chapuis was a professor at conservatories in Strasbourg, Besançon, and Paris. His recordings include the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach. He passed away on November 12, 2017, in Dole.
