Microstoria is a German experimental electronic duo composed of Markus Popp from Oval and Jan St. Werner from Mouse on Mars. The group was founded in 1994 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Their debut album, "init ding," was released in 1995, followed by subsequent albums such as "_snd" (1996), "Reprovisers" (1997), and "Model 3, Step 2" (2000). Their music is known for its abstract soundscapes and innovative approach to electronic music. In 2024, they released remastered versions of "init ding" and "_snd" on double vinyl and digital platforms through the Thrill Jockey label.
