Mindless Self Indulgence is an American electropunk band formed in New York City in 1997. Their music blends elements of punk rock, alternative rock, electronica, techno, industrial, hip hop, and breakbeat hardcore. They released their debut album, "Tight," in 1999, followed by "Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy" in 2000. In 2005, they released "You'll Rebel to Anything," which reached number 107 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their fourth album, "If," released in 2008, peaked at number 27 on the Billboard 200. The band is known for their energetic live performances and provocative lyrics.
