cd - Minor Threat

Minor Threat was an American hardcore punk band formed in 1980 in Washington, D.C. The lineup consisted of vocalist Ian MacKaye, guitarist Lyle Preslar, bassist Brian Baker, and drummer Jeff Nelson. Known for their fast tempos and intense performances, they released several EPs, including "Minor Threat" (1981) and "In My Eyes" (1981), and the album "Out of Step" (1983). Their song "Straight Edge" inspired the eponymous movement promoting abstinence from alcohol and drugs. The band disbanded in 1983, but their influence on the hardcore punk scene remains significant.
