Miroslav "Miro" Žbirka was a Slovak singer and songwriter prominent in the 1980s. He co-founded the bands Modus and Limit. In 1982, he became the first Slovak to win the Zlatý slavík award. His albums include "Doktor Sen" (1980), "Sezónne lásky" (1982), and "Roky a dni" (1983). He collaborated with Marika Gombitová and Laco Lučenič. He recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios.
