Modern Nature is a British musical group formed in 2019 by Jack Cooper following the dissolution of his previous band, Ultimate Painting. The group is known for its unique blend of post-rock, jazz, and ambient folk. Their debut album, "How to Live," was released in 2019, followed by "Island of Noise" in 2021 and "No Fixed Point in Space" in 2023. In 2025, they released "The Heat Warps," marking a shift towards more structured compositions and featuring new guitarist Tara Cunningham. The band is signed to the Bella Union label and has received acclaim for its innovative musical approaches.
