Monster Mike Welch is an American blues guitarist and singer from Boston, Massachusetts. He began his career as a child prodigy, earning the nickname "Monster Mike" from Dan Aykroyd at age 13. Welch has released several albums, including "These Blues Are Mine" (1996), "Axe to Grind" (1997), and "Nothing But Time" (2023). He was a member of Sugar Ray & the Bluetones and collaborated with Mike Ledbetter on "Right Place, Right Time" (2017), which won the Blues Music Award for Best Traditional Album.
