In 2005, he founded the group JazzKamikaze, which won the Young Nordic Jazz Comets award and released several albums. As a solo artist, he has released albums such as "Unicorn" (2014), "Godspeed" (2017), and "Passenger" (2022). His music blends jazz with elements of fusion and art-rock. He has collaborated with musicians like Marius Neset and Anton Eger. Schantz is known for his innovative piano playing and contributions to modern European jazz.
