Mother Love Bone was an American rock band formed in 1988 in Seattle. The band consisted of Andrew Wood (vocals), Stone Gossard (guitar), Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Bruce Fairweather (guitar), and Greg Gilmore (drums). They released the EP "Shine" in 1989 and their only studio album "Apple" in 1990. The band was known for its influence on the grunge scene, but their activity was cut short by the death of vocalist Andrew Wood in 1990.
