cd - N’golá (São Tomé)
N’golá (São Tomé) is a musical project from the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe, focusing on the music of Angolar Creole (N’golá) speakers. Their 2024 album "Our Ancestors Swam to Shore" was produced by GRAMMY-winner Ian Brennan and Italian-Rwandan filmmaker Marilena Umuhoza Dellias. The N’golá musicians repurpose everyday items, such as canoes and fishing gear, as musical instruments, creating a unique sound that reflects the history and culture of their community.
