New Math was a punk band from Rochester, New York, active between 1976 and 1984. They released their debut single, "Die Trying," in 1979, which was later re-released by CBS in the United Kingdom. In 1981, they issued the EP "They Walk Among You" under the 415 Records label. Throughout their career, they opened for bands such as The Ramones, The Cramps, and The Damned. In 1984, they changed their name to Jet Black Berries and signed with Enigma Records. In 2023, a compilation titled "Die Trying & Other Hot Sounds (1979-1983)" was released, featuring unreleased demos and rare singles. The products available from the artist New Math include CDs.
