New World Depression is a German death metal band formed in 2005 in Münsterland. Their debut EP, "The Last Step of Evolution," was released in 2005, followed by the album "Unseal Pandora's Curse" in 2008. The band gradually shifted towards old school death metal, drawing inspiration from bands like Asphyx, Bolt Thrower, and Obituary. Their seventh album, "Abysmal Void," released in 2025, continues the dark themes of previous albums "Descent" (2020) and "Interment of Sins" (2023). The album was produced by Jörg Uken at Soundlodge Studio and features tracks like "The Vault" and "Spoils of War."
