New World was an Australian pop group formed in Brisbane in 1965. Originally known as The New World Trio, the group consisted of John "Fuzzy" Lee, Mel Noonan, and Robert Elford, all of whom sang and played guitar. In 1968, John Kane joined, replacing Elford. The group achieved success in Australia with "Try to Remember," reaching number 11 on national charts. After relocating to the United Kingdom in 1970, they signed with RAK Records and released several hits, including "Rose Garden" and "Tom-Tom Turnaround." Their discography includes albums "New World" (1971), "Believe in Music" (1973), and "Yesterday's Gone" (1975).
