Nicolas Flagello was an American composer and conductor of classical music, born in New York City in 1928. He studied under Vittorio Giannini at the Manhattan School of Music and later at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Throughout his career, he composed an extensive body of work, including seven operas, two symphonies, and eight concertos. Notable works include the oratorio "The Passion of Martin Luther King" and the opera "The Judgment of St. Francis".
