Nik Bärtsch is a Swiss pianist and composer known for his unique style that blends jazz, minimalism, and avant-garde music. Born in Zurich, he studied at the local Musikhochschule and university. In 1997, he founded the acoustic group Mobile, focusing on integral musical concepts. He later formed the band Ronin, with which he released several albums under ECM Records, including "Stoa" (2006), "Holon" (2008), and "Llyria" (2010). Bärtsch's music is characterized by repetitive rhythms and modular structures, creating a hypnotic and meditative experience.
