Noble "Thin Man" Watts was an American saxophonist known for his contributions to blues, jump blues, and rhythm and blues. Born in DeLand, Florida, he studied at Florida A&M University, where he played in the marching band alongside Cannonball Adderley. After college, he began his professional career with The Griffin Brothers and later worked with artists such as Lionel Hampton, Dinah Washington, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, and Chuck Berry. In 1957, he achieved success with the instrumental "Hard Times (The Slop)." After a decline in popularity in the 1960s, he made a comeback in 1987 with the album "Return of the Thin Man."
