Oceans Ate Alaska is a British metalcore band from Birmingham, formed in 2010. Their debut album, "Lost Isles," was released in 2015, followed by "Hikari" in 2017 and "Disparity" in 2022. The band is known for their progressive metalcore style, combining unpredictable polyrhythms and alternating melodic and dissonant passages. In January 2024, vocalist James Harrison and guitarist Adam Zytkiewicz left the band; Harrison was replaced by Joel Heywood from Spitting Teeth, and James Kennedy took over as lead guitarist.
