Olga Amelchenko is a Russian saxophonist and composer who began her musical journey singing in a choir at the age of 5, later studying piano and the dombra. Between 2003 and 2006, she studied choral conducting at the Conservatory of Abakan before transitioning to the saxophone. In 2006, she moved to Novosibirsk, where she studied at the conservatory until 2010. In 2012, Olga continued her musical education in Germany, first in Cologne and later in Berlin, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Jazz Institute between 2014 and 2019. After graduating in 2019, she moved to Paris, where she is active on the French and international jazz scene as a bandleader, sidewoman, and educator. She has released the albums "Shaping Motion" (2018), "Live at Loft" (2020), "Slaying the Dream" (2023), and "Howling Silence" (2025).
