Out Of/Into is a jazz collective, formerly known as The Blue Note Quintet, comprising pianist Gerald Clayton, alto saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, vibraphonist Joel Ross, drummer Kendrick Scott, and bassist Matt Brewer. The group was formed to celebrate Blue Note Records' 85th Anniversary and embarked on an extensive U.S. tour in 2024, during which they developed their distinctive, progressive sound that perfectly embodies the Blue Note ethos. Their debut album, "Motion I," was released on December 6, 2024, under the Blue Note Records label. The album features original compositions by the band members, including "Ofafrii," "Gabaldon's Glide," and "Radical."
