Overkill is an American thrash metal band formed in 1980 in New Jersey. The current lineup consists of D.D. Verni (bass), Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (vocals), Dave Linsk (lead guitar), Derek "The Skull" Tailer (rhythm guitar), and Jeramie Kling (drums). The band has released twenty studio albums, including "The Years of Decay" (1989), "Ironbound" (2010), and "Scorched" (2023). Overkill is known for its fast and aggressive style, combining elements of punk and the new wave of British heavy metal.
