Owain Arwel Hughes is a Welsh conductor known for his work with leading British orchestras. He studied at the Royal College of Music in London and made his debut in 1968. Throughout his career, he has conducted the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His recordings include works by Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, and Vaughan Williams.
