Palehound is an American rock band led by El Kempner, debuting in 2015 with the album "Dry Food". Subsequent releases include "A Place I'll Always Go" (2017), "Black Friday" (2019), and "Eye on the Bat" (2023). The band is known for its alternative rock sound and introspective lyrics. In 2015, they received the Boston Music Award for New Artist of the Year. Kempner, who plays guitar and sings, is the band's primary songwriter and producer. Palehound has collaborated with producer Gabe Wax and released music under the labels Exploding in Sound, Heavenly, and Polyvinyl.
