Paper Lace is an English pop rock band formed in Nottingham in 1967. The band achieved fame in 1974 with three UK Top 40 singles, including the number one hit "Billy Don't Be a Hero". In the United States, they are known as a one-hit wonder with the song "The Night Chicago Died", which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Their albums include "First Edition" (1972) and "And Other Bits of Material" (1974).
