Paul Cauthen is an American singer-songwriter from Tyler, Texas. He began his music career in the duo Sons of Fathers before embarking on a solo journey. He has released four solo albums: "My Gospel" (2016), "Have Mercy" (2018), "Room 41" (2019), and "Country Coming Down" (2022). His music blends elements of country, alternative country, and Americana. Cauthen is known for his distinctive baritone voice and the nickname "Big Velvet." In 2018, he made his solo debut at the Grand Ole Opry. His song "Everybody Walking This Land" was featured in the premiere episode of the second season of "American Gods."
