Paul Tynan and Aaron Lington are jazz musicians who met at the University of North Texas. Tynan is a trumpeter and flugelhornist from Nova Scotia, while Lington is a baritone saxophonist from the San Francisco Bay Area. Together, they formed the Bicoastal Collective, a project focusing on original jazz compositions. Their sixth album, "Bicoastal Collective: Chapter Six," was recorded in July 2022 and released in July 2023. On this album, they collaborated with bassist Trifon Dimitrov and drummer Joe Abba. The album won the "Jazz Recording of the Year" award at the 2024 East Coast Music Awards.
