Paul Tynan is a Canadian jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator. Alongside baritone saxophonist Aaron Lington, he formed the Bicoastal Collective, releasing several albums including "Bicoastal Collective: Chapter Five" and "Bicoastal Collective: Chapter Six". Tynan is also known for his solo projects, such as the album "quARTet". He has served as a professor of music at St. Francis Xavier University, teaching jazz trumpet and arranging. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists like Chris Potter, Michael and Randy Brecker, and Clark Terry. His music is influenced by modern jazz and post-bop styles.
