Pavel Kolesnikov is a Russian pianist born in Novosibirsk in 1989. He studied piano and violin from the age of six, later focusing solely on piano. He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music in London. In 2012, he won the top prize at the Honens International Piano Competition. He has performed with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. His discography includes recordings of works by Chopin, Bach, and Couperin.
