Penny Rimbaud is a British writer, poet, philosopher, painter, musician, and activist. In 1977, alongside Steve Ignorant, he co-founded the anarchist punk band Crass, which disbanded in 1984. During the 1970s, he was also a member of performance art groups EXIT and Ceres Confusion. In 2003, he founded a collective known as 'The Crass Collective', later 'The Crass Agenda', 'The Last Amendment', and finally 'L’Académie des Vanités', which brought together jazz musicians, artists, and filmmakers sharing his interest in progressive, improvisational art. Rimbaud is known for his work in avant-garde art and music, with his creations including albums such as 'How?', 'Corpus Mei', and 'The Death Of Imagination'.
