cd - Perigeo

Perigeo is an Italian progressive rock band formed in 1971 in Rome. The original lineup consisted of Giovanni Tommaso (bass), Franco D'Andrea (keyboards), Bruno Biriaco (drums), Claudio Fasoli (saxophone), and Tony Sidney (guitar). The band released several albums for RCA Italiana in the 1970s, including "Azimut" (1972), "Abbiamo tutti un blues da piangere" (1973), "Genealogia" (1974), and "La valle dei templi" (1975). Their music is characterized by a fusion of jazz and rock, drawing inspiration from Miles Davis's work. After disbanding in 1977, some members pursued solo careers in jazz. The band reunited in 1980 as Perigeo Special and again in 1981 as New Perigeo.
