Peter Dvorský is a Slovak operatic tenor known for his interpretations of Italian and Slavic repertoire. After studying at the Bratislava Conservatory, he debuted in 1972 at the Slovak National Theatre as Lensky in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin. In 1974, he won first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He has performed at major opera houses, including the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and Milan's La Scala. Notable roles include Rodolfo in La Bohème, the Duke in Rigoletto, and Faust in Gounod's opera. From 2010 to 2012, he served as director of the Slovak National Theatre Opera.
