Photek, born Rupert Parkes, is a British electronic music producer and DJ known for his contributions to the drum and bass genre. He was born in Ipswich, England, and began his career in the 1990s. His 1997 debut album, "Modus Operandi," is considered pivotal in the drum and bass scene. In 2000, he released "Solaris," experimenting with house and techno elements. Photek has received three Grammy nominations for Best Remix. Beyond music production, he composes film and television scores, including for the series "How to Get Away with Murder."
