Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in Boston in 1986. The original lineup consisted of Black Francis (vocals, guitar), Joey Santiago (guitar), Kim Deal (bass guitar, vocals), and David Lovering (drums). Their music blends elements of punk rock and surf rock with distinctive dynamic shifts. Notable albums include "Surfer Rosa" (1988) and "Doolittle" (1989). After disbanding in 1993, the band reunited in 2004. Kim Deal left the band in 2013 and was replaced by Paz Lenchantin, who remained a member until 2024. In the same year, Emma Richardson joined the band. In October 2024, they released the album "The Night the Zombies Came".
