Playboi Carti, born Jordan Terrell Carter, is an American rapper recognized for his experimental approach to hip-hop. He began his career in 2011 and signed with Awful Records in 2014. Later, he joined ASAP Mob's label, AWGE, in collaboration with Interscope Records. His 2017 debut mixtape featured hits like "Magnolia" and "Wokeuplikethis." His first studio album, "Die Lit" (2018), reached number three on the Billboard 200 chart. The second album, "Whole Lotta Red" (2020), debuted at number one. In 2019, he founded his own label, Opium, signing artists such as Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely.
