Poobah is an American rock band formed in 1972 by Jim Gustafson in Youngstown, Ohio. Their debut album, "Let Me In," became a collector's item and is known for its protometal and heavy psych sound. The band released 14 albums between 1972 and 2020, including "U.S. Rock" and "Steamroller." Poobah gained popularity through the use of their songs in television series like "Graves" and the film "Josie." In 2024, they released the anthology "Burning In The Rain" under the Ripple Music label.
